FAQs

General Questions

  • At Blossom and Blaze Floral, our florals are crafted with a deep love for nature and a touch of whimsy. We specialise in using seasonal, locally grown flowers and Australian natives to create arrangements that feel organic, soulful, and full of character. Each bouquet is unique and is thoughtfully designed to celebrate natural beauty—wild textures, soft movement, and unexpected details that tell a story.

We are proudly foam-free, working only with sustainable, eco-conscious mechanics and reusable, compostable, or recyclable materials. Every design is created with intention, ensuring that our florals are not only beautiful, but also kind to the earth.

  • Bouquets are made to order to minimise waste. It also means that you are not given left-overs or flowers which have been cut days before so you can be sure your flowers are fresh. Some flowers have a longer vase life than others. As your bouquet ages, remove any stems which are past their best and enjoy the beauty of the remaining blooms.

All flowers are sourced locally and are seasonal. You won’t find imported roses here! This means flowers are fresher, more unique and are just as they should be. Our flowers sometimes have curvy stems, maintain their natural scent and are grown for their beauty.

This also reduces the kms flowers travel and the energy used to transport them.

Mechanics and wrapping are compostable, recyclable or reusable. No floral foam, toxic chemicals or harmful pesticides are used so you can be sure that your flowers are safe to handle.

  • No—we never use floral foam at Blossom and Blaze Floral. Foam may seem convenient, but it’s made from microplastics that are harmful to both the environment and human health. Instead, we embrace natural, sustainable mechanics that reflect our values of care, integrity, and wonder. We design straight into a vase, or use reusable structures like wire to keep arrangements secure and long-lasting. This way, every piece we create is not only wildly beautiful but also deeply mindful—leaving behind nothing but joy.

  • We use seasonal, locally grown blooms, supporting Australian flower farms and reducing our environmental footprint. We have a couple of amazing micro farms as our preferred suppliers. This ensures fresher, more vibrant flowers while embracing nature’s natural abundance.

I work primarily with fresh, seasonal flowers sourced from amazing local micro farms and trusted growers, along with thoughtfully dried blooms—each chosen for their natural beauty, sustainability, and ability to tell a story. My preference is always for fresh and dried florals, but in certain cases—such as long-term installations exposed to the elements—everlasting botanicals can be a more sustainable choice. In those moments, I carefully source high-quality, long-lasting florals that ensure the design remains beautiful, intentional, and meaningful for as long as it’s needed.

Booking & Services

  • At Blossom and Blaze Floral, I love creating florals for the people and moments that matter most. From small weddings and intimate celebrations to birthdays, anniversaries, or just a bouquet to brighten someone’s day, each arrangement is crafted with intention and seasonal, locally grown blooms. Whether it’s for a special milestone or simply to bring joy and beauty into your home, I create florals that feel as unique as your story.

  • All of our florals are made to order to reduce waste, so we ask that orders for pick-up or delivery be placed by 4 pm the day before (Monday to Friday). This ensures your flowers are fresh, beautiful, and thoughtfully arranged.

For small celebrations, intimate gatherings, or specialised arrangements, I recommend getting in touch 2–4 weeks in advance. This gives us time to chat about your flower needs and allows me to provide a more accurate idea of what’s likely to be in season for your design. We sometimes can accommodate last-minute requests depending on availability, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • Yes! To ensure we can create florals with our signature impact and quality, we have a minimum spend of $150 for arrangements for smaller gatherings or celebrations such as baby showers or birthdays, and $1,500 for elopement or intimate wedding packages. We also offer a range of stunning bouquets that can be used to enhance any special occasion.

Floral Design & Aesthetic

  • We work with stunning seasonal blooms so we will always do our very best to match your colour palette! We work closely with you to create cohesive, intentional floral designs that align with your vision. Whether it’s soft and whimsical, moody and dramatic, or lush and abundant, we tailor every arrangement to your unique aesthetic while staying true to our creative values and passions.

  • No worries! We guide you through the process by asking the right questions to gain insight into what makes you you, your individual style and story. From there, we can suggest colour palettes, styles, floral elements, and flowers that are uniquely you.

  • I love creating florals that feel personal and special, and I always take your style, colours, and vision into account. Because I work seasonally and sustainably, the availability of specific flowers can vary. Rather than focusing on exact varieties, I start by understanding the overall aesthetic and feel you’re after, then select the best seasonal blooms to bring your vision to life.

I ask that you trust me to choose the flowers that will look stunning, feel abundant, and perfectly suit your occasion. As your flowers come together, I’ll ensure the palette, textures, and shapes align with your style, and I’ll always suggest beautiful alternatives if a particular bloom isn’t available. This way, your bouquet, wreath, or arrangement is not just a collection of flowers—it’s a thoughtfully designed piece that captures your vision perfectly.
